We welcome creators of all backgrounds to share their voices with us! Our magazine accepts poetry, prose, essays, nonfiction, and artwork—including previously published pieces. We believe in providing a platform for powerful storytelling and diverse perspectives. Each creator may submit up to four pieces per issue.
Whether you have a bold new poem, a thought-provoking essay, or a stunning piece of art, we’d love to see it. Send us your work and become part of a literary community that values creativity, authenticity, and impact.
We pride ourselves on being a safe haven for curious minds however all works that are submitted to us must align with our values. Subsequently, we do not accept hate speech, NSFW content, discrimination of any kind, extreme violence bordering on sickening. Similarly, plagiarism is strictly prohibited as is the use of AI generated content. Any violations will lead straight to rejection. Each individual may submit up to four pieces for consideration. Additionally, we are a youth run & youth focused magazine, and as such only accept submissions from individuals aged 13-25.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
When you submit your work, you retain full rights and are free to publish or share it elsewhere after its initial appearance in The Lycian. We simply ask that you credit The Lycian as the original place of publication. If your submission is accepted, you'll receive an email with details on any necessary edits or formatting adjustments.

Firstly, everything listed in the guidelines is non-negotiable so do keep that in mind. But if you’re having some doubts — perhaps your piece is a bit on the gore side — don’t worry and just send it in but please mention your doubts in your form. We’ll let you know if it’s rejected or accepted.
